Single Phase Power Transformer 3kVA

Power transformers utilise alternating AC voltages, these come in different phases often single phase or three-phase. Single phase transformers have two coils a primary winding of wire and a secondary winding – one inputs power while the other outputs power. Three-phase transformers, however, have six coils three primary and three secondary.

Single phase transformers are smaller and control the flow of lower level currents, they are therefore then often used for household devices like TVs and phone chargers as opposed to three-phase transformers that are often used to power large buildings, factories and electric motors.
